The Warwick East State School Parents & Citizens' (P&C) Association consists of a group of engaged and supportive parents and friends, who come together with the view of making our school a better place for our students. It provides a platform for parents and the extended school community to communicate with the school and play an important role in the life of our school. Joining the P&C is one of the best ways to show your children how much you value their education and how interested you are in what they do.
Our P&C is committed to improving the facilities and quality of learning for our children and promotes fundraising activities to assist the school in providing education programs and resources for teachers and students.
Our current fundraising focus is subsidising school swimming to give all students an opportunity to attend lessons. However, we are always open to other suggestions to put funds towards to assist our school and its students.
There are a number of ways you can become involved:
P&C meetings
These are held monthly and are open to all parents/carers and citizens within the school community. At these meetings, you can hear all about what's been happening around the school, as well as having input into school programs, fundraising projects and how the P&C spends its money. There are 2 meetings each term held in week 2 at 12pm in the Brickroom and week 7 at 7pm in the Library. Everyone is welcome to attend and we always look forward to seeing new faces.
Tuckshop
The Warwick East State School Tuckshop is open most Fridays of each term and special events (e.g. athletics carnival days). Meals are required to be pre-ordered and handed into the office by Wednesday afternoon in a brown paper bag with correct change enclosed. Please refer to “Utilities" tab for menu.
The Tuckshop is run by P & C Volunteers and available days may vary. Please read the School's fortnightly newsletter to keep up to date with tuckshop notices.
The P&C is always looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand. Please contact the office, or email the P&C at the email address below, and leave your details if you are willing to assist.
Fundraising events
Throughout the year, we hold several events including: Lamington Drive, Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day stalls, Bunnings BBQ's or any number of other projects that arise. Please look out for details of these in our school newsletter, which is available for viewing on this site or on the Q Schools App.
These events would not be successful without the efforts of a hard-working parent and community volunteer base, as well as our dedicated staff members.
